Bringing out the bones and covering stuff with cobwebs at Castell Coch ready to three nights’ worth of Halloween performances this weekend. The castle was full of families out for the day – such a pity that the castle authorities decided not to do a Halloween event for kids as well. Glad to report that the event is a sell-out – can’t wait for the screaming to start on Friday night.
Here’s my little ghoul getting in the mood for a week’s worth of hauntings over Halloween. Last year she revealed the loudest scream in Wales at Castell Coch; what will she get up to this time? Meet her at Picton Castle on October 29th & 30th and at Castell Coch on October 31st and November 1st & 2nd.
“Feeling The Future” is one of the new stories inspired by the Great War which makes its debut at Picton Castle this weekend. I have had great fun putting this terrifying tale together which segues beautifully into a ghost story involving a WW1 soldier and his most treasured possession. Just a handful of tickets left for Saturday night but plenty of chances to see these new effects at Leicester Guildhall, Ammandford’s Miner’s Theatre and The Judge’s Lodging at Presteigne in the next month or so.
Meet my new ghoulfriend. Quite a stunner isn’t she? £3 from a local store’s Halloween collection, given a little make-over courtesy of my can of “Dirty Down” spray, and coming soon to somewhere frightening in Wales. Tickets selling well for Newton House’s “History and Hauntings” night, and both the Castell Coch and Picton Castle Halloween spookteculars.
Help – I’ve lost a stage hypnotist! My wife took a call a few weeks ago from a stage hypnotist, based in the Swansea area, who was interested in joining the newly-formed Carmarthen Magic Circle. She took a note of his name and number and I promptly lost it. Is it you? Give me a call on 01267 290819 if it was. Or even if it wasn’t and you want to join this new group please get in touch.
