Back to the atmospheric Dylan Thomas Boathouse in Laugharne today to tell more ghost stories in the parlour. It is an intimate performance space ideally suited to a strange tale or two – and I have some wonderfully Gothic tales, all with a Christmas setting, Entry for the stories is free (but do buy coffee and home-made cake in the cafe – excellent value) and the Boathouse is open today from 10.30am to 3pm.
Just heard the devastating news that I have missed out on one of the Countryside Alliance’s “Rural Oscars”. I don’t know who it was who nominated me as Wales’s Tourism Enterprise of the Year but thanks for thinking of me – you can imagine my jaw dropped when I got a letter through the post last month letting me know I had been nominated. Not sure my one-man band really counts (and I’m hardly a rural business) but congratulations to Forest Farm Country Park, The Welsh Hawking Centre, Pembrokeshire Falconry and the Gower Heritage Centre who all made it to the final. Good luck to them all!
