Back At The Llandovery Sheep Festival

Delighted to be back as part of the Llandovery Sheep Festival again this year. Just in case you are wondering, it is more than just sheep (although there are plenty of them to be seen) but a celebration of rural crafts, food and entertainment. This year the theme is Welsh Myths and Legends and my part will be once again leading walking tours of the town revisiting strange stories of the past and telling tales of heroes and villains, ghosts and strange goings on. And naturally there will be a touch or two of magic thrown into the mix. The festival takes place on September 17th & 18th with funds raised going to benefit the wonderful Welsh Air Ambulance. More details as they emerge on the festival website llandoverysheepfestival.co.uk.

Close Up At The Cotswold Magic Society

Many congratulations to James Pockett, winner of the Cotswold Magic Society’s 2022 Close-Up Competition held in Gloucester last night. So good to see live performances after the past two years deprived of face-to-face magic. It was my first meeting as a member and I was so pleased to see eight excellent and entertaining sets from my fellow members. Cannot wait to get to know my fellow magicians in the area and maybe find some others who enjoy their conjuring on the darker side!
